THIS or THAT part 4 – Bigger or SmallerPlay Audio
When you are suffering or feeling lost, to whom do you turn? When things are going well, whom do you thank? For Christians, the answer is God. At all times and in all things we are to recognize that He is in control, He is the highest authority and power and He is the one who made us, sustains us and leads us. But do our lives reflect these truths?
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:18)
This week, as we continue in the letters of John, we will be reflecting on whether we live in full confidence of our faith or in fear of the powers of this world. We‘re encouraged to look at each and every situation and decide whether we are declaring God to be bigger or smaller than our circumstances. Our lives will either show that we trust more in the things we have and believe that God is not capable, or reveal that He is in fact the God who created all things and who has defeated our greatest enemy on the cross.
